The Foundation is a Texas Corporation and is organized as a public charitable foundation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Funds are granted on a case-by-case basis. The Foundation also provides educational scholarships to students enrolled in or applying to accredited four-year institutions of higher learning, junior colleges, and vocational schools. Associates of AVC Partners portfolio companies, along with their immediate family members, are eligible. Scholarships are awarded annually.
